Cambriana - Mask by Namingway Cambriana - Mask by Namingway
This one took me a while to do. ;D Inspiration came from the centerpiece- an opalescent white ammonite fossil. I decided to do the whole mask with a fossil theme, largely from the Cambrian era. Trilobites, chrinoids, sea scorpions...all kinds of critters! All hand sculpted and hand painted.

Whoa, that had to take some work! Nice details! How much can you see out of those tiny eye holes?

It's meant to hang on a wall more than to wear. XD But you can see through the eye holes, just with tunnel vision.

But can you see anything while wearing it? :D

You can, but the field of vision is limited. This is more of a wall-hanging piece. XD

holy smokes! that is magnificent!!! :o i love it a lot!!

just one tiny thing... i don't think sea scorpions aka eurypterids lived back in the cambrian... only starting from the ordovician and so on :) you're 100 million years early! :D

Neither did crinoids or ammonites, I think.

But hey, it looks awesome, so what do I care... :D

Yeah, it's only MOSTLY from the Cambrian. ;D I was going for more of a general fossil theme when I was making it, but I liked the name a lot so...well, you know.
