Elephant trunks are just basically tentacles anyway, right? Right?

Definetly one of the best hybrids I've seen in my social life. Basically because I like octopuses, and I also like elephants, even if in part not a lot. But it's still a great combination.

I am going to call him cuddles.

Hmmm, both long prehensile muscled things used to grab onto things. Guess only different is that an elephant trunk  is also it's nose while only one of a male's octopus tentacle function as it's reproductive transfusion delivery device. Oh and the suction cup thingies.

The cephaladerm, more commonly known as the octophant, is one of nature's greatest wonders. Gifted with a keen, puzzle solving intellect and a long memory they can be both a blessing and a curse to coastal towns. Those who offer them aid or assistance often find themselves befriended for life and never have to fear drowning again or sometimes finding sunken treasure suddenly washed ashore near their homes. On the other side of the coin, those who threaten or endanger an octophant's life, even by accident, often find their boats, nets, and the like suddenly destroyed or damaged beyond use, the fish in their area suddenly gone, or in the truly worst case scenario, whole herds will rampage out of the waves and level a village.

Oh wow, I never would have thought of this combination, but it makes SO much sense.
