Actually, this one lies somewhere between steampunk and cyberpunk. I'd been playing a lot of Deus Ex, what can I say? Though the style is radically different from what's found in those games. Anyway, this guy's a mask- goggle combo with the face of a gargoyle. It's got metal gears worked in around a central blood red gem, and more gears flanking the eyes and horns. I'm pretty fond of the brushed steel look combined with a vivid red. Of course, since it's not actually made of metal it is surprisingly light when worn. As with all my pieces, this one has an artist's mark on the back. The goggles are entirely hand sculpted, one of a kind. The dimensions run roughly 6 1/4" wide by 5 1/2" tall.

You can the goggles for $160 here- [link]

Hm... i'm more getting a "dark magic" or "Necromancer/Demon Summoner" vibe from this. The few cogs and gears here and there are not enough to overpower the flowing/leafy shapes. :)

Heh! I suppose. Although the Victorians did use lots of flowing and leafy shapes. Still, the style is a wee bit different than most of the other steampunk stuff I've done. As I say, I've been on a cyberpunk kick lately and I think this is the odd result of mixing genres.

It's certainly cool, but could use more circuitry for a stronger cyberpunk vibe. :)

Been thinking about doing some pieces like that. It's a little harder with sculpting as opposed to carving, but maybe. It might be fun to experiment with, anyway, see how popular it would be.
