Silver Fox Necklace by Namingway Silver Fox Necklace by Namingway
This was a piece someone commissioned me to make. I did everything from scratch, first sculpting the piece, then making a mold of it. I cast silver PMC into the mold and fitted a bezel into it. When fired, the PMC binder burns away and leaves behind pure, real silver. The gem in the center is a star moonstone.

This is pretty epic, I think the mottled look helps it out actually, rather than being perfectly smooth.

...I suppose you need a real kiln for something like that, and not just your oven like you can get away with with sculpey. >_>

The commission was $120. But looking back on it, I should have charged more. It was a loooot of work and resources.
